Foxy iPhone Tote

Since I was attending the Craft and Hobby Association trade show, I needed a simple way to carry my iPhone so that it didn't get lost with the bags of giveaways that one tends to gather at these shows.

I decided that I needed a simple pouch that I could clip to my ID lanyard. To keep it simple, I made it out of thrifted felt and my Fox die.
The dark pink pouch is a piece of felt cut to 4" x 12". The scalloped, light pink edge was die cut using the Scallops On the Edge die.

With the pouch unfolded, I laid out the fox pieces on one half of the pouch and used embroidery floss to simply stitch around the edge of the fox. The die is very versatile so you can have him standing, sitting or with his tail curled up under his chin. I stitched him standing.
I did a small green chain stitch and French knots along the edge of the scallop border. And I quickly stitched down the eyes and nose.
I folded the dark pink felt in half along the bottom, right side out and used a contrasting embroidery floss to blanket stitch around the sides. I also stitched a key ring Finding in the top left corner to attach it to my lanyard.

I made one for myself to wear at the trade show and I made one as a gift for Brenda Walton.
This was so easy to make and was exceptionally handy to hold my phone, keys and business cards.
