Silver and Porcelain Treasures

Today's hunt began with a false start. The first estate sale was advertised as a Saturday/Sunday 7am sale. We got there at 6:30 only to be told that they had the first day of the sale on Friday and today's sale would start at 8am. That threw us off a bit but we just went on to the next sale.

My favorite find of the day were these silver plated pieces. I love the shape and detail of the urn.

I found this signed, Italian porcelain piece (would you call it an urn?). It is all white and a graceful shape. I can imagine it overflowing with holiday greenery and vintage ornaments.

These two little ceramic deer were so cute. The one on the right is marked "Made in Japan".

My boyfriend found a fondue pot that closely matches the chocolate pot I found a few weeks ago. I love their vintage, Danish Modern look.

Usually, at estate sales, I find lots of vintage girl's toys but very few boy's toys in good shape. I found this 100% wool, child's cowboy hat in great condition.

Even with the false start, we had fun and the day turned out well.

  9. The ears on the deer are so distictive. It would be fun to find out more about them. I am sure my brothers had that cowboy hat. I remember one Christmas picture distinctly from the early 1960s.
You are making me think more about urns.
