Easter {Sewing} Basket

Here is another different way to display Easter Eggs.

I began with thrifted plastic eggs, lightly sanded and painted with white acrylic paint. After they were dry I used strips of thrifted sewing patterns and Mod Podge to d├ęcopage the eggs.

They are displayed in a thrifted sewing basket with "grass" that is actually an old, green, knit sweater that I unravelled.

I am thrilled to be featured at Marvelously Messy.

A Marvelous Mess

I am also honored to be featured at Krafty Kat.

  18. Lynda, I love the fact that you transformed those plastic eggs so cleverly, and used the vintage sewing patterns to give them their new look. The sewing basket was a fabulous touch as well! Thank you so much for sharing your project at Rook No. 17. Always a pleasure!!

  19. Lynda, you come up with the cutest ideas! I love vintage sewing items, and your reuse of the old patterns (as well as the old sweater) is quite clever.
