My favorite find of the day were several bags of Mercury Glass garlands. I love the vintage teal and pink glass garlands the best.
I also love these Christmas elves marked "Japan" on the bottom. The little elf on the left looks a little mischievous but they are rather cute.
We found this unique, ceramic teapot. The color, a deep periwinkle, and the bird on top were just so adorable.
On the practical side, we found an unused picnic basket filled with metal utensils, cloth picnic blanket and cloth napkins. Lots of useful storage here.
And, by sheer serendipity, I found yet another estate sale by the same woman who held the two previous "polite etiquette" sales (here and here). Her previous prices were high for things she thought were valuable and quite reasonable for other items. Today, there were still some items that were over-priced but I was able to find these lovely teal and pink hankies and old tomato-shaped ceramic salt and pepper shakers.

Well jingle my bells, those are, um, cute(?) elves. Okay, those elves would keep me up nights but the garland is an awesome find. The picnic basket and tomatoes are just plain cheery.
ReplyDeleteOh........ I just L-O-V-E the vintage Mercury Glass Garlands. I've bought several of those from the USA on eBay. And the elves are really cute too!

ReplyDeleteYou did very well with your estate sale buys. I like them all, but the little teapot is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff, good stuff! For some reason, there doesn't seem to be very many estate sales in my area (Mass.) - I think the West Coast has them all!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you found all those wonderful mercury glass bead garlands! I love them.

Enjoy your weekend!
Lots of fun stuff; I enjoyed looking.
ReplyDeleteWow; you should have enough vintage Christmas items by now to start your own holiday shop! ;) I have a real weakness for vintage holiday items, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday, Lynda.
