Today I Created | A Birthday banner for a special co-worker
This birthday banner is for a friend who loves roses and is quite an accomplished gardener. I wanted to make something that reflects her green thumb. I still need to add her name to the banner so this is not the complete project. Luckily she just uses her initials so I only need to add two more pieces.
I created these by first printing the flower images from the Graphics Fairy. These are such lovely floral images. I scaled and printed the images so that they were 5.5" x 7" (I used InDesign to crop and print the images at the same size but you can also size them in Photoshop.)
I trimmed each image to create a rectangular pennant and then used the Tim Holtz, On the Edge, Ornate die to add a festive edge along the bottom of each piece. To finish this off, I sewed a ribbon along the top of all of the pieces.
Now that Halloween is upon us, I am turning my creative energies to work on my projects for the upcoming Triple Play Blog Hop. This is an exciting creative challenge and I can't wait to see what the other designers create. Click on either the Triple Play Blog Hop Sizzix button or the link to see what the blog hop is all about then visit each Thursday for the next seven weeks to see each new challenge.
Soooo pretty! I would love to do a version for my boys! Coming over from the Graphics Fairy and a happy new follower!

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of making one of these for boys. I was planning on making a generic one to keep as an office decoration for anyone's birthday. There are just so many possibilities. Have fun!
